Linus Hagemann
I am a data scientist and software engineer, interested in the intersecion of data & politics. My main interest lies with EU politics, analysis of parliamentary votes, and election forecasts/polls.
Now
- Working with data in the 🇩🇪 federal administration
- Pursuing a M.Sc. in Data Science for Public Policy at the Hertie School.
- Making HowTheyVote.eu even more useful, with funding by the MIZ Babelsberg.
Previously
At some point, I will find the time to make this more comprehensive - for now, here's a short list of stuff that I am proud of:
- I talked about the increasing influence of far-right parties and the EPP collaborating with them in the European Parliament at re:publica in May 2025.
- As a research assistant with zweitstimme.org, I took part in investigating comprehension and impact of election polls in Germany.
- I spent 2.5 years working on interactive development tooling with lively.next. Here's me talking about why that is cool.
- I published several research articles on information dissemination on Twitter (remember that?) in the context of political events. Find them on my ORCID.
- Here's an interactive visualization of how and why a federal-rent cap in Germany could work that I built for the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation.
